  • Our AW16 Catwalk took place at the iconic Free Masons Hall in London

  • We won "The UK’s Favourite Lingerie Brand of the Year 2015 and 2016” (public vote) at the UK Lingerie Awards. 

  • We relaunched the famous "Not for the faint hearted" Gossard Gypsy video with actress and Gossard Model Olympia Valance. 

  • We worked with the lovely model Georgia Gibbs on our AW17 and SS18 Photoshoot




  • Our first ever Gossard sports bra is launched! 'G Sport' by Gossard.

  • Our first ever wire-free plunge bra is launched! Super Smooth took two years to perfect and offers an amazing cleavage up to an E cup.

  • Our first ever sleepwear range is designed. Vintage Glamour is designed to add a little extra glamour to the bedroom.

  • Two new VIP bridal ranges are launched to replace Ooh La La: Retrolution and Femme Fatale.

 

  • Sophie Anderton returns to Gossard as ‘The Girl in the Grass’ for the 2013 Glossies billboard campaign.

  • Our VIP Retrolution Waist Clincher is featured on Channel 4’s 'How Not to Get Old.'

  • Our first ever exclusive Gossard colourway, Femme Fatale in rouge, was introduced and only available to buy direct from the Gossard websites.

  • We won “Lingerie Brand of the Year 2013” (judges vote) and "The UK’s “Favourite Lingerie Brand of the Year 2013” (public vote) at the UK Lingerie Awards 2013.

  • We expanded out online presence by launching our products onto clothing giant, ASOS.com and introducing a new website for USA and Canadian customers: www.gossardusa.com


  • Swimwear is introduced! Two different collections were available: Tropic Swimwear, which featured a unique Gossard print, and Retro Swimwear.

  • Our VIP ranges, Retrolution and Femme Fatale are launched!

  • The Gossard hot air balloon was launched. The balloon featured a 40ft image of model Elle Liberachi wearing the EgoBoost bra and was used in competitions and tours around the UK and abroad. The balloon's controversial imagery saw it banned from flying in the USA!

  • The Egoboost bra was created to boost women’s confidence. The bra was designed as there appeared to be a surge in breast enlargement. 

  • Gossard introduces a new model, Eva Smite, to work alongside Elle Liberachi.

  • Gossard brought back Glossies! Cutting edge fabric and the latest shape technology come together to set a new standard for comfort, fit and minimisation. More about you, less about the bra. Love me, wear me, feel me!

  • Introducing Ooh La La! The Ooh La La range was available in it's first colour, noir, and soon became a best seller. 

  • The Gossard logo was given a cleaner look and became less jagged - can you spot the difference?

  • A nationwide campaign began with the tag line 'OMG!' and was featured in shopping centres around the country.


  • New Superboost Satin is launched! 2007 sees the launch of the redesigned and much loved Superboost range, still delivering the ultimate cleavage. Every woman knows that confidence comes from within and where better to start than with great confidence boosting lingerie.

  • The company launches G-Strings by Gossard, a collection of designer G-Stings that sold out as soon as they hit the shops!

  • Elle Liberchi becomes the new face of Gossard and helps front a nationwide billboard campaign featuring in some top shopping sites such as London's Bluewater, Manchester's Trafford Centre and Nottingham.

  • Gossard launches the innovative SuperSmooth collection, with revolutionary no-stitching and no-seam technology to provide invisible support and a comfortable second skin.

  • The www.gossard.com website is launched!

  • In the 1970's Gossard develops the 'Sheer Glossies' range which gave a 'natural' look under clothes. Noting that women's busts were becoming fuller, Gossard extends their cup sizes up to a DD (now up to a G). Glossies are back! See the revival ...

  • Coordination becomes the buzzword; Gossard creates its Ritz Collection of coordinating lingerie.

  • Sophie Anderton becomes famous in 1996 after appearing in the Gossard Glossies "girl in the grass" national advertising campaign shot by Herb Ritz, with the strapline "who said a women couldn't get pleasure from something soft?"

  • Model Kate Groombridge becomes an ambassador for the 'Ultrabra Superboost' range and was later named as the 'face' of the Gossard brand following its success on the highstreet. The bra proved popular, and even proved controversial when the advertising campaign was considered too racey for British television.

  • During the Second World War, Gossard's production was turned over to assist with Britain's war effort.

  • Gossard produced everything from brassieres for the Women's Royal Naval Service to sails, parachutes and even single-seater fighter dinghies.

  • Gossard takes another pioneering step by introducing Silkskin - a lightweight, pre-shrunk girdle featuring an innovative wonder fibre, Nylon.

  • The Perma-lift range of bras and girdles launches in the 1950's, featuring the 'Magic Insert', a cleverly shaped support within each bra cup to give permanent uplift.

  • In the 1960's Gossard diversifies and focuses on producing fashionable bras, including the now world-famous Wonderbra.


  • H.W. Gossard Company ceases to be an American Corporation and becomes a British Company.

  • The first London office is opened and the first sales catalogues are produced for the UK market, featuring corsets and brassieres. 

  • Gossard revolutionises the industry by making the radical step of moving the laces on a corset from the back of the garment to the front, making it easier to get on and off and increasing comfort.


  • Founded in 1901 by Henry Williamson Gossard, an American representative for a wholesale dressmaking company.

  • Henry was inspired by the actress Sarah Bernhardt, whilst visiting Paris, after seeing her figure transformed on stage by a spe cially designed corset.

  • The H.W. Gossard Company was founded in Chicago and began producing corsets and other women's garments of the highest quality.
